Tummy Time

Hamilton didn't care much for Tummy Time. I tried to make it more fun by singing the words "Tummy Time" to the tune of Lollipop, but I think that only made it more fun for me.

Veronica, on the other hand, loves the challenge of lifting that head and shoulders up high to check things out.

Lovin' It!

Look ma, one hand.

And after several minutes....face plant!

Siblings

I am thrilled to report that Hamilton and Veronica are getting along swimmingly. Well, more accurately, Hamilton is quite fond of his little sister and Veronica is learning to survive Hamilton's expressions of "love."

But, let's start at the beginning. Here is "The Meeting." (Warning: It might make you a bit dizzy.)

Hamilton's reaction went from indifference...
to curiosity ("Yes, those are her eyes...but let's not put our fingers there!")...
to frustration (confused by her perpetual horizontal state, he would ask Veronica to "wake up!")...
to fondness. He will now wake up each morning and look in her crib. If she's not there, he will cry out, "Sister go?" He's been known to say, "Love you, sister."

Hamilton wasn't used to the idea of things in the house not belonging to him, so he presumed this was HIS new chair.

Taken about a month ago, this picture shows him watching in fascination as she cries.

And one day, while I was getting Veronica to sleep, he climbed into our bed to get some attention, only to fall asleep before she did.

If Hamilton gets this excited about a little sister who (no offense, Veronica) doesn't do much yet, I am very much looking forward to what the future holds for these two!
